One of the things that has made the workshops around the world happen is the amazing team I have surrounded myself with. Each workshop, no matter where in the world it is, couldn’t happen without each and every member of the team.
Since we are adding more and more workshops to our calendar, I thought it would be fun to introduce you to everyone that you might see at a workshop. Over the next few months, you’ll get to meet the AJS Workshop team and get to know everyone a little bit better.
I thought it would be fun to start with me. Even though you visit the blog and see some fun things on Instagram, I thought you might want to know a little more about my role at a workshop.
Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself:
1. What’s your full name? Annette Joseph
2. Where are you from? Atlanta, Georgia
3. What do you do for a living? Cookbook Author Stylist and Producer, Entertaining Editor at Atlanta Magazine’s Home, Style + Photo Workshop founder
Q: Tell us about your background:
A: I have been styling producing and writing for 25 years. I work in TV, Editorial and Publishing and with major Brands image building.
Q: Describe your expertise at workshops:
A: I organize all the Style + Photo Workshops around the world, and am the Styling Instructor at all the workshops.
Q: What do you enjoy most about being a part of the AJS Workshop Team?
A: I love meeting all the various attendees at each workshop everyone is so unique and has an interesting story. I love the creative collaboration that goes on with each team I assemble. It’s really a lot of work, but not like work at the same time because it’s so enjoyable and rewarding to see everyone’s imagery improves over the course of the workshop.
Q: What is one app (business related or not) you absolutely cannot live without?
A: Instagram (addicted), although I am starting to really like Snapchat.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel?
A: Italy, hands down; it’s why we have a second home there. Thailand would come in a close second.
Q: What is one travel destination you hope to cross off your bucket list?
A: Japan, for sure it’s our next trip we are already in the process of putting together the trip.
Q: What is your favorite part of exploring new destination?
A: I think that I would have to say eating…you thought I would say meeting new people and seeing how people live, right? But I love people watching but usually while eating…(or drinking).
Q: What is one travel essential you’re sure to pack on every trip?
A: I have to have a pashmina or cashmere shawl of some kind, even in the summer.
Q: Just for fun (and in true Annette Joseph style), what is your go-to cocktail?
A: My go to cocktail is either a Campari on the rocks, or a Gin Martini dusty ( that’s a little dirty), extra olives.
Let me know if you have any questions about our workshops, and be sure to check out our Big Cartel workshop page – there are lots of fun things going on over there including a new workshop!
