Since I am working with west elm on their bridal registry launch this week, I wanted to give you some ideas of things I am loving right now. If I were getting married today what would I register for? west elm has a great selection of what I call special basics. In my book Picture Perfect Parties, I outline a “Party Pantry”. These essentials are an arsenal of basics everyone needs to entertain with ease.
* I will be giving a presentation Sunday June 22nd at west elm Atlantic Station on what exactly these essentials should be.
Here are some of the items from west elm I think are must haves on your bridal registry list.
The Krosno Glassware Set
Love these napkins: The Blanket Stitch Napkin Set
Organic Shaped Dinnerware, a fantastic basic everyday dish + they work well for dinner parties as well.
Something dressier: The Organic Shaped Dinnerware with a gold rim, also available with a silver rim.
Stop by Sunday and check out my complete list. Chat with me about your wedding ideas and I will help you register for your “party pantry” essentials from west elm!

I am so excited to be involved with west elm Atlanta and their team once again. They always do such a flawless job with events. Last fall they threw me the most amazing book signing ever! I am a huge fan and I’m always honored to be a part of anything they ask me to do.
This weekend I will be participating in an amazing Bridal Event. west elm is offering a Bridal Registry for the first time. I know, “where was this when I got married?” Right?! Well you lucky Brides-to-be now have an opportunity to register for all things west elm.
Please join me along with some incredible local wedding vendors, for a fun afternoon out full of inspiration. This is an opportunity to explore ways to make your own wedding unique and special. You’ll get to meet and greet with some of the best in the wedding biz and all at one time!
I will help you plan what to register for to make your own perfect “Party Pantry.” I will also be doing a Q&A, book signing for my cookbook Picture Perfect Parties, plus designing 5 reception tables with help from west elm and Victory Blooms owner, floral designer Megan Dunlap. To kick of this fabulous party enjoy bubbly from Drync and nibbles by one of the best caterers in Atlanta: Dennis Dean Catering. Wander and mingle with wedding vendors and event planners. Minted will supply fun backdrops for selfies and decor. Sound fun?
Please RSVP and we will see you there! I am so excited to meet all you Brides and talk everything wedding and entertaining!
Watch me on Better Mornings Atlanta on Friday June 20th I’ll be sharing details of Sunday’s event.
And don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter on my website, it’s easy and you’ll never miss and event or recipe!

As a lover of parties, I really love the idea of a “party in a box.” This Snowdrift Party in a Box by west elm has everything you need to throw a really elegant affair sans champagne. It includes: 5 paper balls, 2 paper fans, 6 champagne coupes, a stainless steel cocktail shaker, a lacquered serving tray, 6 votive holders and confetti. How brilliant is that?! This shimmery metallic color palette lends itself to almost any festive mixer.

I have to say my book signing events have really been a blast. I get to meet all sorts of people and chat about my favorite subject “me” (kidding!). I absolutely love talking about food and entertaining with all the people that trek out to my events. It is so enjoyable.
I am constantly surprised by what terrific questions people have for me at these things. Mainly I like the eating and drinking and mingling that goes on. No kidding. Last week I had the great pleasure of signing Picture Perfect Parties at west elm in Atlantic Station (most definitely my go-to prop shopping destination) and of course I always buy a little something for myself, I just can’t ever resist. Their products are fresh and inspired and spot on… not to mention well priced and well designed.
The west elm staff knocked it out of the park, from promotion to menu to the really fun workshop, it was a perfectly executed event. We had a great turn out, nibbled, drank and mingled (I may have had one too many Candy Cane Martinis :)). I even had someone come see me from Virginia… Alexandra, I was so flattered! She is a doll BTW.
Dayle greeted everyone and introduced me, then we dove into the demo of the sweet and salty popcorn. The festive jarred take away craft was a big hit. At one point Sonny the store manager took over, which I totally loved. He was so enthusiastic, it was inspiring! We set the buffet table to look exactly like the Holiday Open House chapter in my book, we used the same menu as well! Once Sonny was finished with “his ” demo 🙂 Dayle handed over the finished take away craft project to all the guests and then the book signing began.
See how happy I am see the empty cocktail next to me? What can I say, I am a party girl!
Of course my amazing team Lesley and Justin, what would I do with out you guys. Love you both XO
Thank you from the bottom of my heart west elm xx
A special thank you to my cute hubby Frank who doubled as the staff photographer. xoxo
